2019 POW

Each week FirstStarFootballReport.com selects players on offense and defense to be voted on by the fans. We name an Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week and the player who received the most overall votes is named the First Star Logistics Player of the Week for that week. 

First Star Logistics is the name sponsor and will award the overall Player of the Week a special plaque and more to be presented at the players school. 

A player can only win overall Player of the Week honors once during a season.

WEEK ONE

OFFENSE: CONNOR KINNETT – HARRISON HS

Tim Keseday received the most overall votes with 6,572 and is the overall First Star Logistics Player of the Week for Week Ten.

PLAYOFFS WEEK ONE

DESHAWN PACE – COLERAIN HS

A Cincinnati Bearcats pledge, Pace received 20,177 votes for his Week One playoff performance against Princeton as the Cardinals beat their Greater Miami Conference rival 16-10 to advance to the second round of the playoffs.

PLAYOFFS WEEK TWO

JAYLEN THOMAS – COLERAIN HS

The Cardinals senior two-way standout received 93.01% of the votes after coming up big against Greater Miami Conference rival Fairfield in a 28-7 win that saw Thomas rush for 171 yards and one touchdown while also posting five tackles and forcing a fumble. Several hours after the game Thomas was involved in car crash that ended his season with injuries that required surgery.

PLAYOFFS WEEK THREE

ZACH BRANAM – LA SALLE

The Lancers junior quarterback used his legs and arm in a 45-8 win over Harrison to advance to the next round. On the night, Branam was 6-of-8 passing for 155 yards and two touchdowns while also adding 104 rushing yards and a score.
