The past few weeks have been good to Powell (Ohio) Olentangy Liberty offensive lineman Ben Wrather. Tuesday, Wrather added his first offer from a Power Five program as Big Ten Program, Purdue added their name to a growing offer list.

First Star Football caught up with Wrather about the offer.

“Purdue is a well-known university,” said Wrather by Twitter. “They have a rich tradition in both academics and football. As a school, it fits well with my collegiate interests. I know most of the coaching staff is relatively new.”

As Jeff Brohm continues to build the Boilermakers program, Wrather is looking forward to visiting campus.

“I spoke with Coach (Dale) Williams, their offensive line coach,” he continued. “I have not been over there yet but plan to make a visit as soon as my basketball season ends in the next couple of weeks.”

First Star Football Report has been able to watch Wrather in camp action the past two weeks as he was an MVP at the Best of the Midwest and one of the top performers at the Blockers O-Line Big Man Camp this week.

We expect many more schools to get involved and show interest in recruiting Wrather to their program.
