We shine the commitment spotlight on Pataskala (Ohio) Licking Heights offensive lineman Reid Holskey who gave his pledge to the Miami RedHawks.

Reid Holskey
HT: 6-7 / WT: 272 lbs.
HOMETOWN: Pataskala, Ohio
HIGH SCHOOL: Licking Heights HS

Toledo, Miami Ohio, Akron

Long frame with room to add more bulk once he reaches the college level. Long arms with good explosion from hips. Natural bender from knees and hips. Shows solid lateral movement and keeps feet moving. Reaches second level and can finish. Tough and plays until the whistle is blown.

From film evaluation we don’t see as much pass-pro work. This is an area a lot of high school prospects need to work on. However, we see the athletic ability to where he should be able to pick up the techniques needed. Also, like most high school linemen Holskey tends to get high. Again, all areas that are coached at the next level.

While Holskey may not be one of the more household names in Ohio. He’s got a lot going for him as a prospect. The RedHawks have shown they prefer long framed offensive linemen and Holskey fits the mold. Can play guard or tackle at the next level. Dominating run blocker who can get to spots on the field and knows what to do when he gets there.
