Cincinnati Moeller football was back on the upswing under Doug Rosfeld in 2018. Unfortunately, Rosfeld was given a life changing opportunity to take a job with the Cincinnati Bengals leaving the Crusaders program after one season.
After a national search, Moeller announced in the end they didn’t have to go far in naming Todd Naumann as the programs 7-th head coach.
In a statement, Moeller athletic director Mike Asbeck said the following.
“Through the process of the nationwide search, we were led to one conclusion – our best candidate was right here at home. Todd is the perfect person to maintain the culture and values of the team and continue to build on the foundation we have built here at Moeller.”
Naumann is already employed by the school as a social studies teacher and house dean and is no stranger to the program having graduated from the school in 1991 and starting his coaching career at the school in 1995 where he served as both defensive and offensive coordinator.
As a head coach, Naumann oversaw the Archbishop McNicholas High School program from 2011-2017. Since the departure of Rosfeld, Naumann has been the programs acting head coach.
Moeller finished 6-5 last season winning the Greater Catholic League South titile with a 3-0 record.
