2022 QB CHASE HARRISON TALKS RECENT VISITS

Taking over the reigns as the starting quarterback at Centerville (Ohio) high school midway through his freshman season continued opening eyes on the early talents of Chase Harrison.

The 6-foot-2, 190-pound signal caller had already opened eyes prior to arriving at the high school with some solid camp performances.

Now, with film to be evaluated from a season where Harrison passed for 1,446 yards and nine touchdowns while also rushing for 203 yards and three scores has even more college coaches taking notice.

Recently, Harrison made a couple of visits with a few more planned as he continues to prepare for summer camps. First Star Football Report caught up with Harrison for more on his recent visits.

“I’ve visited Louisville and got back from Ohio State a couple of days ago,” said Harrison. “I’m heading to Michigan State early on Thursday (4/11/2019) morning.”

Ohio State was nice, and the atmosphere is great.  All the players are getting hyped all the time. I love Coach (Mike) Yurcich.  He’s a nice guy and easy to talk with.  I also love Coach (Ryan) Day and the whole coaching staff is great.  Ohio State would be a fun place to play and it would be amazing to earn an offer from them as they’ve always been my dream school. They are a Top 10 program every year.  So, it would be awesome to get an offer from them.

Louisville has a new staff and there is only one person from the former staff still there. Coach (Pete) Nochta is a great and he just invited me to a VIP event coming up. On my last visit I had a chance to meet Coach (Scott) Satterfield and like him a lot.

I love Cincinnati and Coach (Luke) Fickell is great. When I was there last, we had a great conversation. Coach (Marcus) Freeman is always great to talk with.  I spent some time with Coach (Gino) Guidugli and he knows what he’s doing and is a nice guy. So, I like all those guys.

I camped at Michigan State before and look forward to getting back up there. Coach (Dave) Warner stopped at school to learn more about me and I like Coach (Brad) Salem and Coach (Mark) Dantonio a lot.

As for camps, Harrison is still looking to put together a schedule but has a few schools in mind now.

“I’m looking to camp at Notre Dame as I like them,” he said. “Ohio State is another camp I’m looking to attend and to be honest, I’m trying to keep an open schedule to see what schools come by to see me throw in the spring.”
