Matthew Rueve Looking to Lead Bombers

First Star Football Report already talked about the growth of Cincinnati (Ohio) St. Xavier senior quarterback Matthew Rueve this summer from camp performances. Friday night Rueve and his teammates put the final work of the preseason in with an impressive scrimmage performance.

After being a back-up last season, Rueve has stepped forward as a leader earning captain honors from his teammates despite his lack of experience.

First Star Football Report spoke with Rueve following the Bombers scrimmage and the 6-foot-4, 190-pound signal caller talks about becoming a leader, the honor of being selected a captain and his recruitment.
