Clayton (Ohio) Northmont senior quarterback Keaton Kesling is currently leading the Greater Western Ohio Conference in passing yards with 568 yards after two games for the 1-1 Thunderbolts. Kesling is also a standout baseball prospect but is looking to lead the Thunderbolts back to the playoffs this season. In Week Two, Kesling led his team to an impressive 37-17 win over Pickerington North passing for 352 yards and four touchdowns.

Dayton (Ohio) Chaminade-Julienne junior standout Jason Ward blew away everyone in voting for Defensive Player of the Week following his big performance in a 56-8 win over Cincinnati (Ohio) Woodward. Ward recovered a fumble and had two interceptions including one he returned 36-yards for a touchdown to go with four tackles. On the season the 5-foot-10, 183-pound defender has helped the Eagles to a 2-0 record and will travel to Greenville on Friday night to take on the 2-0 Green Wave.
