Coach Douglass: Wildcats Sticking to Their Grind

Springfield (Ohio) Wildcats head coach Maurice Douglass knows a win at this stage of the season means his team is just starting to reach the part of the season that means the most. Because of that, Douglass vowed his team will stay on their grind with a short week ahead following their impressive 23-0 win over Springboro on the road.

While talk often centers on the Wildcats offense, Douglass knows defense wins championships and his squad is playing some of the best defense in Ohio with back-to-back shutouts and having given up only 47 total points in seven games.

Following the Wildcats win over Springboro, Douglass spoke about how his team has responded, how they stack up against other teams he’s coached and his young quarterback Te’Sean Smoot.
