The final week of the 2019 Ohio High School Football regular season witnessed some great games and performances as teams fought to win championships and capture spots in the playoffs.
Seven players enjoyed big games and are up for your vote to be named the First Star Logistics Week Ten Defensive Player of the Week.
Timmy Keseday – Springboro HS
The senior two-way standout posted 11 total tackles in a 37-6 win over Centerville. He also rushed for two touchdowns on 71 yards rushing.
Xzerious Stinnett – Springfield HS
The senior linebacker enjoyed his best game of the season in a big 21-20 win over Trotwood-Madison with 21 total tackles.
Giovanni Albanese – St. Xavier HS
The junior defensive lineman came up big with 16 total tackles (8 solo) and 4.5 sacks as the Bombers defeated Louisville (KY) St. Xavier 35-30.
Mason Henry – Alter HS
The senior linebacker played a major role in helping the Knights knock off Chaminade Julienne and pushing the Knights into the playoffs. In the 35-28 win over the Eagles, Henry posted 15 total tackles with 10 of the stops being solo stops.
Deshawn Pace – Colerain HS
The senior posted six total tackles, forced a fumble and had an interception he returned for 30 yards in a big 16-10 win over Fairfield to give the Cardinals another Greater Miami Conference title.
Leon Nevels – West Carrollton HS
The sophomore linebacker posted 17 total tackles (9 solo) in a 21-14 win over Stebbins.
Jerry Parsons – Deer Park HS
The junior defensive lineman posted six total tackles with four sacks in a 48-7 win over Reading.
