FIRST STAR LOGISTICS PLAYOFFS WEEK ONE PLAYER OF THE WEEK DESHAWN PACE

Voting has closed for the First Star Logistics Player of the Week for the first week of the OHSAA playoffs.

All seven players up for consideration received votes with St. Xavier running back Kellen Newman and Colerain two-way standout Deshawn Pace fighting it out.

After all the voted were counted, Pace received the most votes as the future Cincinnati Bearcats signee received 20,177 votes as compared to Newman’s 15,494 votes.

Pace played a major role in the Cardinals winning their first-round game against Princeton with two interceptions on defense and rushing for 74 yards on offense. Pace and the Cardinals will play Fairfield on Friday night in a rematch of a Week Ten game that saw the Cardinals win 16-10 in overtime.
