CARL BLANTON JR LIFTS TROTWOOD-MADISON TO REGION 12 TITLE

After two quarters of scoreless football between Trotwood-Madison and Badin in the Division III Region 12 finals, senior Carl Blanton Jr flexed his muscle with two huge pass plays in the third quarter starting with a 78-yard strike from quarterback Cooper Stewart with 9:29 left in the quarter and then again with Cooper out of the game with an injury on a 69-yard strike from Keon’tae Huguely with 3:42 to put the Greater Western Ohio Conference team up 14-7.

Trotwood would add another touchdown late in the fourth quarter to make it 20-7 but it was Blanton that lifted the Rams to the Region 12 title with four reception for 170 yards and two touchdowns plus four tackles on defense for good measure.

Following the game, FirstStarFootballReport.com spoke with the multi-sport standout about the big plays (in the video), if his future will be football or basketball and why this win was not only important to the team but the entire community of Trotwood in this First Star Logistics sponsored video.
