Interest is picking up for Cincinnati Princeton junior safety/linebacker Leroy Bowers as the Vikings talented safety added his first Power Five scholarship offer from the Pitt Panthers on Monday night.

The 6-foot-1, 190-pound Bowers, has already picked up offers from the hometown team Cincinnati Bearcats along with Akron, but Pittsburgh was sort of a surprise at this stage of the process.

“I’ve never visited Pitt,” said Bowers by direct message. “I received a phone call from Coach (Randy) Bates, and he said he’s been watching me and that he came to school but missed me as I had four wisdom teeth pulled and wasn’t in school.

“Coach Bates said he heard I was on the basketball team and will be coming down next week to watch me play.”

While Bowers has yet to visit the Panthers, he expects to do so in the near future.

The following are Bowers HUDL highlights from this past season.
