Novak is a long framed gun slinging quarterback that shows a live arm and solid decision making early in his career. While he often looks like he's got a long delivery, the ball always seems to get where it needs to be often hitting receivers in stride. Continued work on arm strength is a must but that should come as he continues to mature. As a freshman, Novak showed great potential passing for 2,112 yards and 14 touchdowns. However, he did throw 12 interceptions. His sophomore year was a breakout season where he showed growth to his game despite playing less games. In eight games, Novak went 181-of-277 for 2,543 yards (65.3%) with 26 touchdowns and only five interceptions. He also showed growth with his ability to run the ball rushing 85 times for 418 yards and five scores. We're very impressed by what we've seen so far. Reminds me of former UC Bearcats quarterback Tony Pike at this stage of his development.
