One of the top prospects in the 2021 recruiting class out of Southwest Ohio has ended his recruitment with a verbal pledge.
Cincinnati (Ohio) Winton Woods senior defensive lineman/linebacker Andrew “Bam” Booker put together an impressive offer list from schools in multiple conferences.
However, Booker looked to put recruiting behind him as he prepares for what he hopes to be a strong senior year if Covid-19 allows it.
As a prospect, Booker brings a long frame with room to add bulk without losing athletic ability. He shows good burst off the edge with the ability to dip his shoulder with inside and outside moves. Athletic enough to play in a 3-4 scheme as an outside linebacker with the ability to come to the line and create match-up problems for offensive tackles.
Like most high school prospects, Booker still needs continued technique work, but the skills are there to have a successful college career.
With a brother already at Big Ten program Maryland, the Terrapins and head coach Mike Locksley earned the younger brother’s pledge with his commitment as a birthday present to his older brother.
Stay tuned to First Star Football Report for more on this latest commitment from one of Southwest Ohio’s top prospects.
