Like many in the 2021 recruiting class, Kettering (Ohio) Alter quarterback Brian Shane spent the past nine months wondering how things would work out on and off the field.
With the coronavirus stopping spring evaluations, on-campus visits, summer camps, and even some seasons, Shane and others in the class overcame many obstacles in working towards their futures.
Because of these setbacks, Shane learned the importance of having high academic goals and lofty athletic goals.
While several high academic programs from the FCS level down to Division Three provided some great opportunities, the 6-foot-3, 200-pound quarterback/receiver saw his dream school enter the process late with a chance he couldn’t pass up.
First Star Football Report spoke with Shane about his college decision in this exclusive One-on-One video interview presented by First Star Logistics.
