BUCKEYES FLIP MIYAN WILLIAMS

Several months ago, Cincinnati (Ohio) Winton Woods running back Miyan Williams issued his verbal pledge to Iowa State head coach Matt Campbell.

Williams, one of the all-time top running backs in Ohio high school history, would eventually add an offer from Ohio State but held his cards close to the vest when it came to talking about his interest in the Buckeyes.

Saturday, during a visit for the Buckeyes match-up against Penn State, Williams announced his decision to become a member of the Buckeyes 2020 recruiting class with the following post on Twitter.

So, what will Williams bring to the Buckeyes?

FirstStarFootballReport.com has watched the development of Williams during his prep career and not surprised Ohio State found their way to the talented back. Buckeye fans should expect a back not afraid to run between the tackles who can also bounce it outside for a big run. A power back, Williams has shown decisiveness and vision with the ability to hit a cutting lane quickly while also being able to stretch a run outside as his offensive linemen work to open a lane. While Williams may not show the top-level speed of other backs, he’s explosive and shows great acceleration. The one trait we really like about Williams is his toughness.

Williams brings an infectious smile and is a positive influence with his fellow teammates on and off the field.

The following video clips were shot during Williams junior season in the playoffs against Anderson.
