Saturday became a big day for University of Kentucky offensive lineman George Asafo-Adjei as he took the first step towards one of his dreams he spoke about back in high school.
In the seventh round of the 2019 NFL Draft, Asafo-Adjei heard the one thing all who play the game dream about when the New York Giants called making him the 232nd overall pick.
For the former West Chester (Ohio) Lakota West product, getting the call from the Giants brings his life full circle as he was born in the Bronx.
Despite a career where “Big George” played in 48 games with 23 starts for the Wildcats, he was not invited to the NFL Combine.
However, that didn’t stop the Giants from spending a late pick on a player still learning the game of football as he told us back in high school how he found the game.
During his senior year George talked in this special video about himself on and off the field, who he feels his game is line and his goals and future dreams.
We take a look back in this First Star Logistics Flashback at George Asafo-Adjei.
