Eleven players from Southwest Ohio are up for consideration following their outstanding performances during Week Three of the 2019 high school football season. Vote for the player you feel deserves to be named the First Star Logistics Offensive Player of the Week for Week Three of the season.
Here are the players to choose from and some background on why they are up for consideration.
Liam Clifford – St. Xavier HS
The junior enjoyed a big night on the road with five receptions for 185 yards and one touchdown as the Bombers remained undefeated with a 37-7 win over Penn High School. On the season, Clifford is averaging 110 yards per game receiving.
Jake Seibert – La Salle HS
The Ohio State pledge played a huge role in the Lancers 38-16 win over Mansfield, MA with six receptions for 110 yards and three touchdowns. Add in five extra points and Seibert was responsible for 26 of the Lancers 38 points on the night.
Matthew Luebbe – Elder HS
The Panthers got into a shootout against Clearwater Academy but prevailed 60-54 on the arm and legs of Luebbe. The senior passed for 226 yards on 14-of-22 passing and four touchdowns while also rushing for 61 yards in the win. For the season, Luebbe is hitting on over 62-percent of his passes for 469 yards and five scores while also having rushed for 400 yards and five scores.
Chase Harrison – Centerville HS
The sophomore powered the Elks to their first win of the season going 19-of-30 for 287 yards and four touchdowns while also adding a rushing touchdown and 43 yards on the ground.
Trent Fox – Carroll HS
The senior quarterback came up with a big night going 16-of-24 for 338 yards and three touchdowns in the Patriots 37-12 win.
Cole Joslin – Clermont Northeastern HS
In a 63-14 win over Batavia, Joslin was a workhorse with 24 carries, 256 yards rushing and six touchdowns.
Brendan Lamb – Clinton Massie HS
Another workhorse back out of the Southern Buckeye Athletic and Academic Conference is Lamb who rushed for 224 yards and four touchdowns in a 28-21 win over Middletown Fenwick.
Hunter Johnson – Milford HS
The senior passed for 271 yards, five touchdowns and no interceptions in a 47-13 win over Anderson.
Brody Reder – Little Miami HS
It would have been a great game for the senior quarterback with 216 yards rushing and one touchdown. However, that wasn’t enough as he also added 161 yards on 6-of-12 passing with three scores in a 33-24 win.
Justin Silverstein – Turpin HS
Silverstein led the Spartans to an impressive 62-13 win over Troy going 12-of-17 in the air for 229 yards and four touchdowns while also adding another score and 92 yards on the ground.
Jimmy Stines – Summit Country Day HS
The senior quarterback came up with a big night going 15-of-23 for 316 yards and four touchdowns in a 33-0 win over Reading.
