The votes have been cast for the First Star Logistics, Players of the Week for the first week of the 2019 high school football season.

Congratulations to all the athletes who turned in great performances in Week One.

St Xavier linebacker Matthew Devine received the most votes with 1,465 and is the overall First Star Logistics Player of the Week.

Devine will be presented a special award from First Star Logistics later this season.

The senior quarterback had a big night in a 38-6 win over Vandalia Butler High School. Last season, the 6-foot-4, 220-pound signal caller passed for 2,587 yards and 24 touchdowns hitting over 61% of his throws. His senior season is off to a great start as he was 23-30 for 344 yards and five touchdowns.  Kinnett received 88.56% (1,301 votes) of the votes.

Devine has waited his turn and made the most of it with a big performance against Brownsburg High School. On the night the 6-foot, 210-pound linebacker posted 12 total tackles and one sack in the Bombers 38-17 win. Devine received 67.08% (1,465 votes) of the votes.
