Some big defensive performances were turned in during Week Five of the 2019 season.

JERROD COUCH – WAYNE
The junior defensive lineman enjoyed his best game of the season with 18 total tackles including eight solo stops, 1.5 sacks and one forced fumble in 35-21 win over Lebanon helping Wayne to their first win of the season.
JONATHAN BRUDER – CENTERVILLE
The junior defensive back posted 11 total tackles with seven solo stops and two sacks in a 47-14 win over Beavercreek.
XZERIOUS STINNETT – SPRINGFIELD
The senior linebacker is listed again with 15 solo tackles in a 34-7 win over Fairmont as the Wildcats move to 4-1 on the season.
DANARIUS SHAW – MOUNT HEALTHY
The senior defensive back posted 10 total tackles (7 solo) in a 48-30 win over Ross.
SEAN BUSCHUR – LITTLE MIAMI
The junior linebacker posted 15 solo tackles (18 total) in a 41-19 win over Talawanda in Southwest Ohio Conference play.
LARRY JACKSON – HUGHES
The sophomore defensive lineman posted 13 total tackles (9 solo) and a sack in a 22-14 win over Shroder moving the Big Red to 4-1 on the season.
JAYDEN MARSHALL – HAMILTON
The senior linebacker posted 13 total tackles (6 solo) and one sack in a 31-21 win over Oak Hills.
CAM HAMILTON – FAIRBORN
The junior linebacker posted 13 total tackles (6 solo) and a sack in a 32-14 win over Stebbins. He also added a touchdown on offense for good measure.
