As Ohio continues waiting on official news if high school football is to be played in 2020, top football recruit Jack Sawyer took things into his own hands with a major announcement on Friday ending his prep career.
Sawyer, Ohio’s top prospect as ranked by national recruiting sites and one of the nation’s top overall prospects, posted to Twitter he would forgo his senior season after extensive discussions with his parents and coaches.
The 6-foot-5, 248-pound Sawyer is scheduled to sign with The Ohio State University on National Signing Day, giving Ryan Day his verbal pledge in early February of 2019.
