Game Winner Kicking / First Star Football Report – Kicker and Punter of the Week

First Star Football report is excited about teaming with Game Winner Kicking and Andrew Gantz in announcing a Kicker and Punter of the Week at the high school and college level each week.

Sponsored by First Star Logistics, each week former college kicker Andrew Gantz (Cincinnati / Northern Illinois) will scan the region for the top kickers and punters throughout high school football.

At the end of the season we’ll name a Kicker and Punter of the Year winner.

We’ll also expand our reach into the world of college football selecting a top kicker and punter each week as well.

Here is more on this partnership from Andrew Gantz.

Out of Centerville (Ohio) High School, Andrew Gantz was a three-star kicker and ranked as the nation’s No. 7 kicker in the 2013 class by 247Sports.  Chris Sailer Kicking ranked Gantz as a five-star prospect. During his senior year with the Elks, Gantz earned First-Team All-Greater Western Ohio Conference and First-Team All-GWOC Central Division. Having earned offers from the likes of Tennessee, Nevada, Utah, and Portland State before picking Cincinnati.

At Cincinnati, Gantz earned second-team All-American Athletic Conference honors in 2014 and was a semifinalist for the Groza Award. In 2015 Gantz earned all-conference honors (second team). Injury limited Gantz to only two games in 2016. Gantz finished his Bearcats career having gone 39-of-50 on field goals and 109-113 on PATs along with 18 touchbacks on 45 kickoffs.

After missing the 2017 season, Gantz finished his college career in 2018 at Northern Illinois leading the team in scoring with 61 points with a season long of 49-yards.

Today, Gantz trains kickers and punters and is based in Southwest Ohio.
