Keeps Getting Hotter in Cincinnati for Bearcats

The only thing hotter than the temperature outside in Southwest Ohio is Luke Fickell and the Cincinnati Bearcats recruiting success.

Fickell and his staff are doing more than just wishing local talent considers staying close to home. They are getting some of the top players to give their pledge to the Red and Black over major Power Five programs.

Saturday, a fourth Cincinnati native added his name to a very impressive list of prospects who have given their verbal pledge to sign with the Bearcats in December.

Jaheim Thomas (Princeton High School), a Five-Star prospect joined local prospects Evan Prater, a quarterback from Wyoming High School. Daved Jones, a linebacker from Lakota West High School and Deshawn Pace, a safety from Colerain High School in the Class of 2020.

Thomas is an interesting prospect with a long athletic frame who could grow into a defensive end after spending time in a college strength program. Right now, he brings a great athletic ability being able to play in space by covering backs and tight ends in the passing game.

This is a major recruiting win for the Bearcats as Thomas held reported offers from several major programs including Michigan, Georgia, Alabama and LSU to name a few.

Thomas tweeted about his future with a specially made video on Saturday afternoon.

In early May, spoke with the newest Bearcat while he was staying humble with teams putting on the pressure to secure his pledge.
