Official Release: Week One First Star Logistics Player of the Week

Following the first week of the 2020 Ohio high school football season, First Star Football Report released several names for consideration for First Star Logistics Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week.

With all votes counted, this is the official release on who you voted as Week One First Star Logistics Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week.

The player who earned the most overall votes is also named the First Star Logistics Player of the Week.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

ELI KIRK – ST XAVIER HIGH SCHOOL – 5,891 VOTES

The 6-foot, 184-pound junior defensive back played a massive game against Brownsburg (Ind.) on ESPN. While the Bombers came up short on the scoreboard, Kirk posted 12 total tackles (6 solos) to go with a forced fumble and interception he returned for 29 yards.

CADE CHISMAN – WESTERN BROWN HIGH SCHOOL – 6,512 VOTES

The 6-foot-1, 180-pound senior back and his Broncos teammates started off the season strong in a 62-6 win over Hillsboro. Chisman got the most out of his 16 carries with five touchdowns and 192 yards rushing. He also showed he could catch the ball out of the backfield with four receptions for 36 yards. Chisman received the most overall votes earning Week One First Star Logistics Player of the Week.
