When starting quarterback, Brogan McCaughey went down during last week’s game, Cincinnati (Ohio) St. Xavier head coach went to junior Ryan Nolan, listed on the Bombers roster as a wide receiver but had taken reps on defense in the secondary to finish the game.
With McCaughey still recovering, Nolan received his first career start with an outright Greater Catholic League title on the line against league rival Moeller.
How did Nolan respond?
How about a 20-of-23, 274-yard, two-touchdown performance without an interception as the Bombers defeated the Crusaders 43-14.
Following the game, First Star Football Report spoke with Nolan about the win and his role as the season continues.
