Week Nine found some great defensive performances in big games that helped some win conference championships or helped their team stay in the hunt for a spot in the upcoming playoffs.

JAIVIAN NORMAN – SPRINGFIELD HS
Only a freshman, Norman posted 12 total tackles (8 solo) in a big 38-13 win over Huber Heights Wayne as the Wildcats continue their winning ways to move to 8-1 on the season and 4-0 in the Greater Western Ohio Conference and the American Division championship.
BROCK BERNARD – SPRINGBORO HS
The senior defensive back posted 12 total tackles and forced a fumble in a 28-25 win over Trotwood giving the Panthers the Greater Western Ohio Conference, National Division championship.
PHILLIP QUANSAH – NORTHMONT HS
The junior posted 17 total tackles (9 solo) in a 34-20 win over Centerville that keeps them in the hunt for a spot in the playoffs.
ANDREW “BAM” BOOKER – WINTON WOODS HS
The junior posted seven total tackles (5 solo) in a big 26-21 win over La Salle keeping the Warriors in the hunt for a spot in the playoffs.
DREW KLAS – ST XAVIER HS
The senior defensive back posted 14 total tackles (7 solo) and one interception in a big 13-10 road win over Cleveland St. Ignatius.
CHRISTIAN KILGUS-DIXON – PRINCETON HS
The senior linebacker posted eight total tackles (6 solo), forced a fumble and pulled down an interception in the Vikings 41-35 win over Lakota West. The win clinched the Vikings a spot in the Division I, Region 4 playoffs.
KHALIYAL SOWELL – HAMILTON HS
The senior defensive back is part of one of the top stories in Southwest Ohio as the Big Blue football program controls their own destiny in reaching the Division 1, Region 4 playoffs. The Big Blue are currently 5-4 on the season after going 1-9 last season.
