JACKSON GIFFORD – ROSS
The senior was a workhorse with 32 carries for 241 yards and two touchdowns in a 41-19 win over Bellbrook to advance Division III, Region 12 final to play Kettering Alter.
MI’CHALE WINGFIELD – WINTON WOODS
The senior quarterback went 11-of-19 for 96 yards, but the difference was how he ran the ball with 23 carries for 114 yards and two touchdowns that helped them advance to the Division II, Region 8 title game to play La Salle.
DEAGO BRUMFIELD – LA SALLE
Brumfield may not get the press clippings of his teammates, but against Anderson, he posted 15 tackles (9 solos) in the 55-30 win as the Lancers advance to the Division II, Region 8 title game to play Winton Woods.
GRANT LYONS – ST XAVIER
The junior posted eight tackles (3 solos) and forced a fumble as the Bombers defense battled Lakota West in a hard-fought 10-7 win to claim the Division I, Region 4 title. Up next is Springfield.
TE’SEAN SMOOT – SPRINGFIELD
The junior quarterback rushed 12 times for 25 yards and a touchdown while adding 319 yards and two touchdowns on 23-of-33 passing in a 19-0 win over Olentangy Liberty to win the Division I, Region 2 title. Up next St. Xavier.
BRENNAN PAGAN – WYOMING
The senior two-way standout posted nine tackles (5 solos) with a sack on defense. Still, the most significant impact came on offense as Pagan went 14-of-28 for 207 yards and four touchdowns passing and 54 yards rushing for one touchdown in a 34-28 overtime win over Valley View. Up next is Clinton-Massie for the Division IV, Region 11 title.
NIJAL MOONEY – ROGER BACON
The senior linebacker posted 12.5 tackles with one for loss in a 31-28 win over Versailles. With the win, the Spartans move to the Division V, Region 20 title game against Springfield Shawnee.
JON DUPLAIN – ALTER
The junior led the Knights defense with ten tackles (6 solos) in a 20-3 win over Badin. Next is Ross for the Division III, Region 12 title and a trip to the Final Four in Division III.
