Poll Closed: Week Two Playoffs First Star Logistics Offensive & Defensive Players of the Week

OFFENSE

Jackson Kuhn – Anderson HS
The senior quarterback helped Anderson advance in the playoffs with an outstanding performance against Teays Valley, going 16 of 21 for 332 yards and three touchdowns plus rushing for 32 yards and three scores in a 52-14 win. Anderson will play on the road at Piqua in the next round.

Cade Rice – Northmont HS
The senior quarterback was 27-of-42 for 384 yards with seven touchdowns in a 48-41 win against Marysville. They advance to the next round, where they’ll face Greater Western Ohio Conference rival Springfield who they played this season in Week Four, winning 40-34 in overtime.

Brogan McCaughey – St. Xavier HS
The junior quarterback was 19-of-25 for 272 yards and four touchdowns in a 45-14 win over Greater Catholic League rival Moeller to advance in Division One, Region 4, and play another GCL rival Elder.

Hezekiah Hudson-Davis – Trotwood-Madison
The junior rushed for 181 yards and three touchdowns in a 28-7 win over Carroll to advance to the next round, where they’ll play Kettering Alter.

Mitch Bolden – Lakota West HS
The sophomore quarterback was 6-of-8 for 74 yards and two touchdowns and rushed 13 times for 120 yards and a touchdown in a 31-14 win over rival Lakota East, setting up a Greater Miami Conference rematch with Colerain. The teams already played this season in a game the Firebirds won 10-0 in Week One.

Ashton Ault – Bellbrook HS
The junior running back rushed for 232 yards on 17 carries and four touchdowns in a 58-0 win over Chaminade-Julienne to advance and play St. Marys Memorial.

Tyrek Spikes – Winton Woods HS
The junior running back rushed for 165 yards on 21 carries and three touchdowns in a 28-13 win over Xenia to advance and play Edgewood a team they defeated in Week One 34-0.

Connor Sounders – Mariemont HS
The junior wide receiver had four catches for 75 yards and two touchdowns in a 25-0 win over West Liberty-Salem to advance and play Purcell Marian.

Luke Lytle – New Richmond HS
The senior quarterback rushed for 157 yards on 19 carries and one touchdown while also going 8-of-15 for 64 yards and two touchdowns in the air in a 38-20 win over Goshen. Up next is Ross.

Trey Robinette – New Miami HS
The senior quarterback was dominant against Fayetteville Perry with 230 yards rushing on 19 carries and four touchdowns while also adding 12-of-18 passing for 140 yards and two touchdowns without any interceptions in a 40-24 win. Up next Marion Local.

DEFENSE

Jokell Brown – Springfield HS
The junior defensive lineman posted six total tackles (5 solos) and two sacks in a big 31-19 win over Huber Heights Wayne to advance to the next round, where the Wildcats will face Northmont a second time this season. The last time the two teams played, the Wildcats jumped out to a big lead only to see the Thunderbolts fight back to win in overtime.

Aaron Byrd – La Salle HS
The senior linebacker posted six tackles (2 solos) with 1.5 sacks and a fumble recovery in a 42-14 win over Little Miami to advance to the next round, where they’ll face Stebbins in Division II, Region 8 playoff action.

Nick Paff – Elder HS
The junior posted ten tackles (8 solos) in a 26-21 win over Princeton to advance in Division One, Region 4. Next, they’ll face off against Greater Catholic League rival St. Xavier, who they faced in Week Three and lost 38-24.

Hank Veeneman – McNicholas HS
The senior defensive back posted seven tackles (1 solo) and forced a fumble in a 27-0 win over Unioto to advance and play Waverly.

Lavert Jarmon – Colerain HS
The junior linebacker posted 11 tackles (7 solos) with two sacks and an interception in a 28-7 win over Mason to advance for a rematch against GMC rival Lakota West.

Trevor Stewart – Greenon HS
The junior linebacker posted 18 tackles (3 solos) and a fumble recovery in a 30-28 win over Taft to advance to the playoffs’ next round. Up next is top seed Roger Bacon.

Cayd Everhart – Tippecanoe HS
The junior excelled on offense and defense in an 11-6 win over Mount Healthy to advance to the playoffs’ next round. We recognize his 16 tackles (8 solos) defensive performance.

Jerry Jackson – Stebbins HS
The senior linebacker posted ten tackles (3 solos) and forced two fumbles in a 24-23 win over Sidney. Up next is defending Division II state champion La Salle.

Nijal Mooney – Roger Bacon HS
The senior linebacker continues to have a big season with 9.5 tackles, a sack, and 1.5 tackles for loss in a 49-6 win over Carlisle.
